    The Rebel Speeder Truck generally remains unarmed and is essentially a civilian transport with modified repulsors and an oversized access ramp. Rebel Alliance Command frowns upon those truckers who arm their Rebel Speeder Trucks. Their reasoning is that the "acquired" weaponry gives the truckers an unwarranted feeling of power and causes them to take risks that they have no right to take. This vehicle serves as a basic battlefield transport. These craft remained unarmed even when they serve in combat duty for the Rebels. This sort of vehicle is readily available on the open market, and thus the Rebel Alliance has little trouble acquiring and modifying them for their troop transport purposes.
