The Warden-class Light Cruiser (or Warden-class Security Cruiser) was designed as a multipurpose ship for the Imperial Security Services. This sleek light cruiser resembles the Guardian-class Light Cruiser, yet with reduced armament for an obvious reason - it is a design modification of the well known Guardian Light Cruiser. Crews serving aboard these vessels generally receive less training than Imperial Navy personnel, since they prefer to leave combat duties to the Imperial Military. Since this vessel is not intended to serve as a warship its weapons load out was reduced. The engines of the Warden Security Cruiser have been improved for greater speed and manoeuvrability, while its sensors and shields have also been enhanced. Cargo capacity for this vessel was reduced by half to make space for four double bunk staterooms and a brig. When employed by the Imperial Security Bureau the Warden Cruiser bares no identifying marks on its hull. When this vessel is seen in a civilian starport, it stands out like a predator in a herd of rycrit when compared to the freighters.
